The Canoe Club hosts numerous excursions throughout the year, giving students the opportunity to explore some of the most beautiful, wild, and secret places Scotland has to offer.
From steep highland glens, such as the Meig, Roy, and Tilt, to fast flowing alpine-style rivers like the South Esk, Braan, and Garry, the trips encompass all levels of grading and ability, from the easiest flowy Tay wave train, to the high drops and sticky holes of the Morriston.
Past trips have seen the club kayak past Bond movie locations in Glen Etive and camp in scenes from Harry Potter at Glenfinnan. Excursions are organised most weekends during term time, alongside competitions such as BUCS Wild-Water Racing, Slalom, and Division 3 Polo.
Every summer, the club organises special week-long trips, touring the best summer paddling (and other outdoor pursuits) Scotland has to offer.
Every two years Saints Canoe undertakes a two-week adventure to the French Alps to paddle in the sun and seek new routes, in stunning mountain scenery.
